Fresh water fishing and traditional salmon fishing

People of all ages can take a trip to the Tengs river and be fascinated by the salmon’s journey through the river and fish ladder to its permanent spawning ground. This is an experience that is highly recommended. In addition, we have salmon fishing along the river in Bjerkreim. The river has earned a reputation at home and abroad as one of Norway’s very best.

Season for river fishing:

Bjerkreimselva: 15 June – 20 Sept.
Hellelandselva: 1 July – 20 Sept.
Hellvikselva: 1 July – 20 Sept.
Sokndalselva: 15 June – 20 Sept.

Rental of boats and life vests:

Elveigarlaget rents out boats for fishing in Slettebøvannet lake. The key is available at the YX petrol station.

Life jackets can be rented from Dalane Friluftsråd. Contact them in advance.
